April has really been about making the most of laying low.
Much time was spent in studying, playing, and staying local.
Fun times!
Out and about town.
Right before going to dance class...
Miss 3 enjoys the company of a wild turkey, roosting in a tree in our yard.
Waiting for dance class
***
Someone still enjoys those PAAS egg decorating kits.
Still some snow in the backyard.
***
Badger home evening dessert: chocolate covered bananas.
Yum!
***
Celebrating my friend!
More programming.

On the left sleepy...

***
Another Mother-daughter date...
Out to another Boba Tea place.
Birdie hangout time.
Just a selfie.
At the Clarke Planetarium...
Awaiting the movie is Magic.
;)
Cooking greens is a foundation part of meal making here.
Miss 2 is gaining in confidence.
For some of our Mother-daughter Magic times, Miss 2 and I work on a paint by numbers.
Working on this painting is has been a great way to gather, work on skills, chat, and mark the passage of time...
:)
My fairy bread is coffee ground bread.
<3
Finding flowers.
*****
Visiting a newly opened Boba tea place, with Miss 2 & a friend!
Behind Miss 2, I-ching divination sticks and fortune catalog.
Yum!
Walked over to Liberty park and got some lunch.
It was a fun day!
*****
Miss 1 came back from camping with Dada.
While out camping, they found some clay by the river, made a clay pot and hardened it in the campfire!
More for lunch
*****
Another wonderful Badger Home Evening.
Homemade pizza!
Miss 2 wanted to make mini-pizzas on a pizza.
On the left, my gf pizza: love putting green beans and broccoli on top.
On the top right: Miss 1's 5 mini-pizzas on top of the big one.

There will probably be a day when random dinosaurs, stuffies, legos, and homemade gifts aren't wander around on my tables, floors, and counters. I know this. So for now, while these lovely reminders of childhood linger, I will rejoice and enjoy.
*****
Going with the older girls to the Junior Achievement Finance Park Field Trip.
In we go.
I go to volunteer orientation.
Meanwhile the kids wait out in the lobby.
Always time for Magic!
The location is the same.
Opening assembly.
The number of students is half what it was for the younger field trip.
Most of what the olders did at the J.A. Finance park was on tablets.
Not a lot of exchange or communication with their fellow students.
As Miss 2 observed, it could have all been done online.
They did get to wander the town a little bit.
The got free soft-drinks with lunch.
They were all given a company as a home base, but honestly their fieldtrip experience had very little to do with their particular home base: United Way.
*****
A sisterly tea party.
So, THAT'S where all of missing our kids' cups went to...
*****
An ice-cream dinner at the park
The park pond has been drained.
I think that it's anticipation of the coming flood waters.
Dry as a bone.
Footprints on the pond bottom.
Stop by a local Asian-American bakery.
After the park-and-ice-cream, we deliver Miss 1 to the train station.
Waiting for the train with sister.
Off to a sleepover with friends, down the valley.
And a full day of debate tournament tomorrow!
*****
Meanwhile, at home, we're working on another book-based play.
And the dinos do continue to visit.
***
