Badgerie Menagerie: Solstice-Winter Camp

It's officially post X-mas!
So off we go on our annual winter camp!

Van is packed and we brought the troop.

***

Parked.
This was a book I got her for Xmas.
She couldn't put it down!
Shopping win, I guess!

Mud frog.

Before they discovered a clay deposit, it was all mud sculpting!

Partially frozen over.

Right about before they discover the clay deposit

Let the digging begin.

Got to use my bike after too long a while.

<3

Playing/sculpting with candy taffy.

Campfire!

Fire + popcorn = bliss.

Open country.

Lined up an ready for the solar oven.

RC flying.

With Dada radio assist.

Can't remember if this is take-off or landing.
Both are equally the most hazardous moments for the RC plane.

Sun Baked and ready for jam!

Because pomagranites.

Jam on.

Now time for the drone...

The Nolstice tree.

I do believe that the Nolstice tree has been festooned with sour patch watermelon slices???

And candy canes.

Here, there and everywhere.

Another day, another fire.

Always, given enough time...
An mini fire ring will appear.

Dinner.

More firey popcorn.

And scrabble.
Miss 2 no-likey.

And crochet donuts.
Because crochet donuts are the most addictive kind of donuts,,,
Beside felt made ones, of course.

Super Mario kind of a morning.

Let the pottery commence.

More clay making.

More sun baking.

Yum.

Clay.

Patrick looks enthused for another fly over.

Going nuts...

With the wild pottery.

Pottery in the wild...
Now getting the firing treatment.

Drying some of the pottery overnight.

Some of the fired pottery.

And of course...
Wooden knife whittling.

Packed up and driving back...

Our drives often involve stops for littlest Miss.

Impromptu walks help relieve the car sickness and reduce the up-chucking probability.

Post camp coffee.
We all smell like campfire.
I'm sure that our fellow coffee drinker LUV it.
